You may post a community event announcement, or just a question or comment. No spamming and no flamming, please! No business advertising, and ABSOLUTELY NO SLANDERING!!!!

Do not use our Forum to promote hatred and intolerance of people because of their race, color, creed, national origin, gender, or sexual preference.

Do not "Post New Topic" when responding to, or addressing a recent post -- instead, go into the message thread and "Post Reply"

Do not use the Forum to "chat" -- we have a Chat Room for that very purpose.

Avoid using ALL CAPS -- it makes a post hard to read, and is often regarded as "shouting".

This Forum is not a place to resolve "personal issues". -- If you break this rule, we may be forced to ban you from posting. If you have a complaint or personal issue with a specific individual or business, please resolve it with them directly, or contact the Better Business Bureau.

Do not post someone else's personal information (last name, address, phone number or email address) without their consent.

Do not post messages looking for people or old friends -- we have a separate page, FHS Alumni Directory, where those who attended Farmingdale Schools can be listed and also search for former classmates. If we allow these kind of posts, the Forum will turn into an "In Search Of" Message Board, instead of what it is intended to be.

We advise ALL to refrain from posting too much personal information. Be aware that this Forum may be viewed by people outside our community. This is a public place, accessible to the entire Internet population.

Any material submitted to this Forum is the sole responsibility of the submitter. FDALE.COM will not be held responsible for anyone's post, nor will we be held accountable for any loss or damage resulting from anyone's post.

Do not use ANY KIND of abusive or obscene language.

This Forum is "user moderated": We ask all our Registered Users to help us monitor the Forum by rating off posts which they consider inappropriate, or posts which they feel cause petty bickering or personal attacks. Posts that receive negative ratings will be automatically removed after receiving a certain number of votes. (see Rating Posts). However, we still reserve the right to remove posts that we deem inappropriate.

Please refrain from petty bickering and personal attacks. If you do not agree with someone's post, you may address it in a civilized manner or just cast your vote to have the post removed by "rating" it. (see Rating Posts)

This Forum has no association with the Town nor the School District (nor with their officials). It is merely a place for local residents to communicate and exchange personal opinions & ideas. If you are looking for "official" answers, you should contact the appropriate authorities directly.

This Forum is PRIVATELY owned. We reserve the right to block anyone from posting. We also reserve the right to edit/remove any posts that WE deem inappropriate!
