Another one bites the dust.

While the Village Mayor and Deputy Mayor continue to smile about how well the Village stores are doing, they seem either arrogant or oblivious to the 24 store fronts that are empty. Wow, 24 is roughly 30% of all the shops. So why do they keep smiling. Today I went next store from the Variety Store to have a package mailed...like its predecessor, I'll be darned, it went out of business June 30th.
One Pizza place closes after failing almost immediately, and the landlord puts a for rent sign up and writes on it "great place for a pizza place". Now you can ask the Mayor and the Deputy, "why not talk to the landlords about getting some solid tenants in these stores and beautify the Village...their answer? "We can't tell the landlords anything"...well, you don't have to "tell" them, you have to sit and talk with them.
So the landlords are making a fortune, obviously, and the Village politicians keep their game face on. I find it disgusting!
