Sorry your friend got the tickets but the majority of drivers know dark tint is illegal. I saw someone driving yesterday, I couldn't see in his windshield or side windows and it was 11a.m. I think they should be ticketed, it's dangerous for the officer pulling him/her over and it's hazardous to the driver as well as it decreases their vision.
