I said the same thing to my husband almost 20 years ago!!:-) to be clear: there is much more air traffic now than 20 years ago and not just planes. The helicoptors that have a "suggested" flight route of heading south on Route 110 until they hit SS Pkwy. and then fly west, yup, that's working real well. At least for the last 5-7 years as they fly DIRECTLY over my house OR just a little south of my house shaking my windows. Now I understand when it is a police helicoptor, however, most are tramsporting from another airport. A friend of mine takes it quite frequently and waves as he flies over my house which is 2 blocks north of SS Pkwy.

Now the planes are another story. There is one plane that takes off (small aircraft) every morning at approx. 4am. I can almost set my clock to it. at around 3pm every day the flight pattern is for jets to fly right over my backyard(not for Reublic) probably JFK or LaGuardia. In the summer i lay in the pool trying to see if I can tell which airline it is.
