Part of Amityville is located in the state drawn lines for Farmingdale school district. Just the same as North Massapequa is in our school district. So these students are NOT being bussed in, they are IN our school district. I am unclear on the reason that SEM failed. I would not be so quick to "blame" the teachers for this. Sometimes it is a "minor" problem and of course will be addressed. Someone can correct me, but I do think that Northside years ago was on that list and the problem was rectified.
No one like to see a school in their district on any sort of "bad"list. I have every confidence that the administration is already in the process of correcting this.
