Happens all the time down here, its the norm. Why not enlist the help of Newsday or News 12? You can also create flyers and distribute them in the neighborhood. The police won't help unless someone got hurt? What kind of bs is that? That's where your hard earned high taxes go to? I would go to the nearest police station and speak to a seargent. Perhaps they could offer some advice as to what to do next. The least they could do is to increase patrols in the area in hopes that they spot the suspect vehicle. That's not a lot to ask for, is it.
