Village Bakery...another victim?

Can anyone confirm whether or not the "new" bakery in the Village on Main st. has closed its doors after less than a year of its grand opening? I know they were not allowed a permit, according to the owner, to have a 250 sq. foot front portion of their store to be used for people to sit down and sip coffee with their fine baked goods. This would mean that they were being charged rent for square footage with nothing in it. Other than that, did anyone of authority step in to stop another failed business in the Village?
