I understand your frustration and disappointment but like anything else it is the concerted and tireless effort of the few that are eventually rewarded. Too many people have put in too much time and energy to just "give up". What is needed now is not a defeatist attitude, but instead, more volunteers to get involved and continue the fight to take back the Reserve. Remember, it does not belong to those who disgrace the Preserve, it does belong to the people and , as such, the people should never lay down.
