I do support local businesses-big or small. I like stores like pats because they have things other stores dont have at a good price. I wont be getting my prescriptions at s and s,I go to cvs. I do own a bj's card and use it often. Why in the world would i go to a florist and spend 70 bucks on a dozen roses when I can go to Bj's and get two dozen for 20 bucks or get gas 20 cents cheaper a gallon. I shop where the price is less, whether its a small business or a giant box store. Your sky is falling attitude is the issue here not what you call my "ignorance". People "leave" farmingdale to shop because the businesses arent here. People went to Walmart at Sunrise mall before they opened on 110 and lots of people I know go out of Farmingdale to larger supermarkets. If you want to spend more money for the same item then go ahead-Im not rich and cant go throwing my money around. I not going to feel guilty for trying to save money.
