All of the comments raising concern over the size of the Farmingdale Stop & Shop make no sense. I'm almost positive that the Stop & Shop that's coming to Farmingdale is about the same size as many of their other stores that already exist on Long Island. They seem to be a pretty smart company so why would they want to put a store here that's bigger than one that's needed to service the Farmingdale community? Seems like this is just another senseless objection being thrown out there by those who have been against Stop & Shop from the getgo. Dollars to donuts those same objectors will shop there after it's built.
