In my last post here, I wrote that I could not comment on David's handling of conduct issues, because I had not been subject to those. Since then, I did something stupid (broke into the Teacher's Network Hard drive) and was in fact the brunt of David's wrath, as it were. After being caught and called into the IT director's office, where it was ascertained that I hadn't broken anything or distributed any of the data I collected, nor had it been meant for distribution, David called me in, called my parents, talked with them, and decided that the best thing would be for me to leave campus until a village committee could decied what to do with me. The whole time David was very professional, curteous, albeit dissappointed, and obviously caring about me and the community as a whole. I spent a week off campus before the committee decided that I had had enough, and after reading a letter that I wrote to the community, I was welcomed back with open arms. Since my experience, David has been more than kind, and though I am sure that I have lost much of his respect, he doesn't show it to me in any way. After all this, I still just want to show how much support for David I personally have, even though the other students may waver. David Hawley is ten times the director Stewart Walker was, and we may be very, very glad that he's here with us.
