Inclusiveness

Inclusiveness promotes community harmony. Inclusiveness reduces perceptions of us vs them.

We should be a single group united by our common passion for Pearson College and UWC.

Transparency

Everyone should understand how decisions are made in the corporation and the rationale for any decisions made.

Decisions on membership should be based on measurable, objective criteria.

Democratic Accountability

As clearly stated in the by-laws, the structure of the corporation is governed under democratic principles.

The Board is the representative governing body of the corporation and the College.

Democratic accountability protects the interests of the College.

An actively engaged membership protects the interests of the College. Think “Active Citizenship”.

Privilege Is Earned

Rights and status within the corporation should be earned through demonstration of commitment to supporting the College and UWC.
