I didn't post sooner because I was somewhat numbed by it, and couldn't really find any appropriate words, but in the end concluded that I would post anyway, however clumsy the wording.
On the wider issues you raised - yes this board has been somewhat hijacked from it's original intent - maybe that's a bad thing, maybe it's a good thing - I don't know.
Perhaps it is time to move the debate off this board however - I seem to remember there was another board set up for just such discussions, but I could not seem to access it and had no reply to my queries.
At the end of the day, this is your bit of cyberspace and you are free to do what you deem fit - I think you are to be congratulated in any event for the work you have put in setting it up and administering it.
