As many of you may (or may not) know, this Forum was created shortly after Pearson's 25th Year Reunion (for Years 1, 2 and 3), which took place on June 2000. The intent of this message board was to keep PC's early graduates in touch with each other. This Forum was just another way of keeping alive what I called "the wonderful Pearson Magic" -- that special "something", a bond that we all shared. However, once certain news about the college started being discussed here I felt it would only be fair to open the board to the entire Pearson Community -- and as we all know, not much "camaraderie" or "reminiscing" has been present here ever since...As I now mourn the loss of our my (our) good friend, Isbel Trejo, I regret the fact that I allowed this Board to deviate from its original intent. As I sit here staring at Isbel's picture smiling at me on the post I made about her tragic death, I can't help but notice that many have read it, yet NO ONE has posted anything back! I feel so crushed by the sudden lost of my dear Isbel, yet the place where I thought I could share my pain gives me back no support, no solidarity, no... nothing!! Why? I know why: because what this place has become does not deserve the name "Pearson Magic"!! (I can think of plenty of other names that would be far more appropriate!)
I'm not taking sides with anyone here, nor am I trying to be critical of anyone... I give a lot of credit to those who feel that they know that "something" is wrong and are speaking out for what they believe is right. But the truth is, THIS FORUM is NOT THE PLACE FOR IT!
It is my own fault for allowing this place to become what it is now, but I also think that maybe I still have time to make things right. In memory of Isbel, and her wonderfully warm personality and caring nature, I want this Forum to go back to being a "MAGIC" place where we, PC 1-2-3 friends, can share our personal lives, our memories, happy moments and even our deep sorrows, with those who care and understand!
If anyone has the need to continue to discuss "Pearson Issues", please create your own message board and take that kind of discussion there. Sometime soon this Board will be closed to anyone who is NOT a PC Year 1, 2 or 3 graduate, or to issues concerning PC administration problems. -- Also, I am seriously considering deleting all posts relating to "Pearson Issues", so if anyone needs to save any of it, please do it soon!! (I am not sure if or when I'll be able to get to it, but hopefully it will happen before the end of the month.)
If anyone feels that I'm letting them down, all I can say is "I'm sorry"... I am doing what I feel is right -- for me!
*Peace*
